Chaitanya Charitable Trust (CCT) is a voluntary non-government, non-political & non-commercial organization registration No. E-1359 Dated: 30.09.1996. It’s movement towards upliftment of a class henceforth neglected by any reasons.

Programme focus : Issue based advocacy, environment, health, water & sanitation & slum development.

Presently working : Slums of Jamnagar especially at Rajivnagar.

Activities :

Education : (Target : Pre school aged 2 to 6 years children) : Developing good habits, providing free & fair environment for all round development through singing, playing and teaching process. Provision of nutritious & balanced food. Not a single child of the project area be deprived from these.

Coaching : (Target : Std.1 to 10 student having no suppliementary support & prone to leave education by one or another reason) : Daily subject wise coaching, exciting scientific experiment, cultural activities, visits & educational tours, seminar etc.

Adult Education : “Proudh Shikshan” to non-assessed 30 to 60 years aged part employed slum people for their betterment of lives.

Night School : Student who drop their education, push out their education, child labour are learning English and Gujarati daily at 9 to 11 p.m. in night school.

Health : Daily O.P.D. service to the poor of the slum. Recognized expert doctor examines patience concentrating children, women and old aged. Distribution of free of cost capsules, drugs, vitamins pills etc. “Health Card” are provided with the help of Shree M.P.Shah Medical College of the senior citizen of the slums. Periodical disability check-up carried out by the doctors/experts and free distribution of tricycle, surgical-shoes, callipers, hearing aids, glasses etc made with the help of DDRC & other renowed doctors of the city. This also includes eye check-up, blood donation camp, thalessemia check up camp etc.

Employment : Under employment, several programs are covered those are traditional as well as non traditional. Shivan Classes : Teaching of sewing/stitching on sewing machines and there after providing equipments or assistance to get it by other means. Masonry Work : Masonry work training is provided along with First Aid Training to slum youngsters. A Rojgar Kendra is run for women empowerment. Under this manufacturing & selling of purses, mobile covers, pillow covers, dresses etc carried out for self-support & empowerment of slum women.

People Voice Center : The class is neglected so far by all means. Their mass problems are voiced and represented at appropriate levels such as sanitary and living condition due to non-availability of lights, roads, drainage etc. solutions are brought in for improvement in living condition.

Library : Free book distribution & reading facility for slum areas students.

Youngster Group : Formation of youngster group for various activities.

Mahila Mandal : Formation of Mahila Mandal for various activities in slum area.

Water & Sanitation : Water & health, sanitation & cleanness awareness, exhibition, slogans on wall, rally and competition are organized by trust.

De-addction : Vyasanmukti Programme organized on Gandhi Jayanti, Shravan month, Navratri & Dashama Vrat celebration.

Aryabhatt Community Science Centre :

Objective : Replace superstition with scientific temper make use of science for progress in a dynamic world and popular science in social life and open the doors to live a happy life.

Activities : Periodical activities on Vaidic Mathematic, science behind superstition, Food adulteration, Origami, snakes show, science trip, environment trip, science film and video shows etc…
